I agree that the rust here is well highlighted by the low sun. This pic is much better at a bigger size than shown here but its a lovely shot none the less. I think the composition might be slightly better if the pier was either centered or further away from centered. Lovely colours, a good record.

I think the composition is good, horizon at the thirds, and the central placement of the pier has a sense of quiet. But as Peter says a different composition would produce a different result, all depends on what you want.
