Howden Camera Club has been meeting and making photographs for over 40 years. In that time members have changed, where we meet has changed, the mediums used to capture images has changed but what hasn’t changed is the passion in which the membership wishes to share those moments in time that have been created to engage and encourage others who wish to enjoy photographic experiences. The club is open to all, beginners and experts alike. We run two programmes of meetings within the year, the Winter programme runs from September to April and consists of a number of lectures, exhibitions and competitions (both internal and inter-club) chosen to enthral and inspire the members to widen their photographic capabilities. The Summer programme allows us to get out-and-about into the local area when the weather and daylight hours allow to capture and create our own special moments in time.
