We use Flickr as a central communication tool for the Club but we really rely on face-to-face meetings to build the skills of our members and from this generate friendships. This ensures we have a vibrant membership who are happy to meet up and build relationships through sharing a common passion. We have a close association with the local community to which we contribute through exhibitions, village fetes and each year we nominate a charity and organise events and sell second hand magazines to raise donations. GNPC’s approach has always been to encourage members to get out and use their cameras. The Club provides workshops and training to improve the technical and artistic skills of the members whether you are a beginner or more advanced you can always learn. Members interact via Flickr by adding images to the pool for critique which enables them to improve the quality of their images.
