The club has long been known for it’s innovative and forward looking approach to all aspects of photography. We still have members who use film cameras, so once a year they have the opportunity to display their work to the club, although not on a competitive basis. Darkroom workers can of course compete in print competitions with silver based prints without any problem. We are also very competitive and have achieved many notable sucesses both as individuals and as a club in local and national exhibitions and competition ‘battles’. There is no obligation to enter competitions but they are a good way to have your efforts appraised by experienced judges. The club is affiliated to the Kent County Photographic Association (KCPA), and, through them, the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB).
