The Perthshire Photographic Society is one of the oldest photographic societies in the world, having been formed in the late 1880s as the photographic section of the Perthshire Society of Natural Science, currently with around 45 dedicated members with a huge variety of experience and interests. Meetings are held on Wednesday evenings from October to March in the Soutar Theatre in the AK Bell Library, York Place, Perth. All our meetings commence at 7.30 pm prompt. The meetings are a varied mix of talks, workshops and competitions. Throughout the summer months we organise photography led group outings. Members’ interests vary from early processes including traditional photography, pin hole photography, black and white printing and the latest digital imaging using computers. New members including beginners are welcome and advice and assistance can be given where required. Please contact us if you wish to join or if you are interested come along to one of our evenings to see what we have
